KEVIN NILSSON
PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR
Kevin is an accomplished project manager and seasoned estimator at Compass Electric, with a profound dedication to delivering high-quality results. With his experience, he has managed to secure new projects while ensuring that all ongoing assignments are completed beyond expectations. Kevin's unwavering work ethic and passion to succeed have been a driving force behind the rapid success of his team at Compass Electric. Kevin started his journey in the electrical trade early, graduating from high school ahead of schedule to embark on his apprenticeship. He acquired his Journeyman certification at a young age of 21 and quickly became a master electrician the following year. Kevin has been a pivotal part of many successful projects, one of the most notable being the Plexxis HQ. It is through this project that Kevin gained valuable insights into lighting controls and automation, revenue metering, backup generation, and more. When not working, Kevin enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones. He has a keen interest in agriculture and has set up his very own hen house and apiary. Additionally, Kevin enjoys working on his golf swings and can often be found at the driving range or golf course. During warmer months, he loves nothing more than camping at Lake Cowichan, a place that holds a special place in his heart as he spent many summers there with his family.

MELISSA REAY
PROJECT MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Melissa’s primary focus is business development during the preconstruction phase of commercial projects, and is also a member of our Joint Health and Safety Committee. She believes that honesty and effort will always pave the way for success. Melissa has worked in the construction industry for 13 years, and before that was a Paralegal. She is a graduate of the University of Calgary Certificate in Professional Management – specializing in Construction Management, as well as a BCIT student in the Construction Drawings program. Outside of work Melissa enjoys a variety of fine art mediums and spending time with family.

Harrison Archdekin
PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR
Harrison is a skilled foreman who leads by example, coordinating workers of all levels and overseeing the installation of electrical systems. He is a dedicated member of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, actively promoting a culture of safety in his workplace. With a strong foundation in integrity, hard work, and positive communication, Harrison inspires those around him to strive for success. Combining his high-level athletic background and formal business training, Harrison brings both physical and technical expertise to his work, while also demonstrating a sharp mind for critical thinking. Despite his relatively young age, Harrison has been practicing trades since the age of 15 and has developed a maturity and steadfast presence that sets him apart. When not at work, Harrison enjoys staying physically and mentally fit, exploring nature, delving into literature, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dave is an electrical Journeyman and qualified Generac Installer and Service Technician. Dave has worked in the electrical trade for 20 years, From New Zealand to Canada, starting with Compass in 2013. Dave is a Red Seal certified electrician with a certificate in electrical engineering, a Generac certified technician and with experience in home automation with RadioRa. In his free time, Dave can be seen exploring the outdoors and racing his dirt bike. He also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

BILL COOK

Bill Cook is a residential housing and streetlight foreman at Compass Electric. He brings a positive and can-do attitude to any job he is involved in. His keystones for himself are reliability and never giving up.With countless houses completed Bill’s biggest accomplishment is all of the homes he has helped create for people. He also played a major role in the completion of the bear mountain parkway, and Westshore parkway street lighting projects. If there is free time to be had rest assured Bill will be spending it with his wife and 2 children, whether it be going for family dinners or weekends at the lake. His interests include ice hockey, golf, and fishing. He always enjoys helping people with any sort of project or task that may call for his assistance.

Josh is a seasoned professional in the electrical industry, responsible for overseeing the successful completion of multiple condo and apartment buildings. With over 7 years of experience, he began his career working on spec homes for Compass, where he gained valuable knowledge and expertise in various aspects of the trade. Josh is dedicated to delivering high-quality workmanship and lives by his motto, "Bleed blue", which reflects his unwavering commitment to excellence. In his free time, he enjoys his favorite sports and engaging in various outdoor activities.

Luke Hoffman
FOREMAN
Luke is a dedicated professional who primarily operates as foreman for commercial projects. He embarked on his apprenticeship journey with Compass Electric in 2015, obtaining his Red Seal certification in 2019 and FSR-B certification in 2021. With a passion for integrating systems, Luke takes pleasure in tackling complex challenges and is particularly proficient in fire alarm installations. Beyond work, he cherishes quality time with family and embraces an active lifestyle, engaging in activities such as weight training, swimming, cycling, and exploring the great outdoors.

Nick White
FOREMAN
Nick is a residential Foreman here at Compass Electric. He started his electrical career in the oilsands, where he worked on various large-scale projects throughout Alberta. Upon his return to Victoria, Nick made many contributions to a diverse range of residential projects with Compass. Notably, he played a key role in the successful completion of the McCormick Meadows Residential Subdivision in 2021. Nick attributes his accomplishments to his dedication, hard work, and a steadfast "Team First" mentality that he consistently upholds at Compass. Outside of his professional commitments, Nick finds joy in engaging in a variety of outdoor activities and frequently attends live sports and entertainment events.

Trevor Standish
JOURNEYMAN
Trevor is an experienced electrical professional with over 18 years of industry expertise, including 14 years as a journeyman. He has worked on various commercial and residential projects, including restaurants, x-ray machine installations, coffee shops, marinas, spec homes, and custom homes with pools and movie theaters. Trevor joined Compass as a Forman in February last year, valuing punctuality, professionalism, responsibility, quality of work, integrity, and time management. A motto he lives by is “Life can bring you a lot of twist and turns, learning from your mistakes only makes you stronger and a better individual, always remember there is something to be grateful for!”. He takes pride in his achievements and the trust he has gained from Compass. Outside of work, Trevor enjoys spending time with his kids, engaging in activities like swimming, hiking, golfing, fishing, and attending their sporting events.
